  • Provides community-based, non-clinical internships for future doctors who have expressed interest in working in medically underserved communities
  • Enhances medical education experience with curriculum and hands-on experience in community health and health disparities
  • Weekly didactic curriculum, including guest speakers covering Health Policy, Health Literacy, Immigrant Health, and Health Disparities
  1. This program is a partnership between the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine and the NY Metropolitan Regional AHEC office and the three AHECs serving New York City (Brooklyn/Queens/Long Island AHEC, Bronx/Westchester AHEC, and Manhattan-Staten Island AHEC).
